How Long Does It Take To Get My Site Ranked?
One must keep in mind that simply submitting a Web site to the free
search engines (not pay per click, rank or sponsorship) and directories
provides no guarantee that your web site will be indexed; much less achieve a high
ranking.
It can take between 2 weeks - 9 months for a new web site to achieve a good ranking in
Google, and Google UK search engines. Web sites with low link
popularity and poor search engine rankings for their keyword phrases cannot
expect to reach their ranking goals in 3 to 6 months.
Unfortunately timelines do vary from site to site and it is one of the
reasons we say that it is "not an exact science". The complexities of
the Search Engine strategy depend on the competitiveness of the keyword
phrases, the amount of redesign / rescue the Web site needs, special Search Engine
Marketing, copywriting, architecture restructure, and a multitude other factors.
Record Breaking 2 weeks from launch to indexing on Google UK
For example it has taken only 2 weeks to get the "Shame On You" campaign
site
http://www.saveourdaycentres.org.uk to achieve Number One ranking on
Google UK under the keyword search phrase "Shame on you campaign". We
have been experimenting with a new site architecture that our Principal
Consultant Bob Rankin has been working with. ISM Associates are very
pleased with the results and will be looking at rolling out this new
method of construction over the coming months, in fact this site now
incorporates .
Another example Raising the Profile of The Royal British Legion in North Staffordshire
It took 3 months to achieve the initial break-through. On the 8 April
2006 the visibility of this site was 0% (10 keyword[s]/keyword Strings)
on the 19 April 2006 it was 84.1% across MSN, Yahoo and 0% on the Google
search engines that have over 70% market share. On the April 24 2006, we at
last achieved the major break through with both www.Google.com and
www.Google.co.uk
raising our visibility rating to 93.53%, as of the 8 May 2006, on Google
alone, The Royal British Legion in North Staffordshire
now has a visibility
rating 98.89%! We would imagine that the champagne corks would be
bouncing off the boardroom ceiling with this sort of news!
